Internships - 2024

We are excited to offer students internship opportunities that will allow you to develop your hands-on industry knowledge whilst partnering with our operational or administrative teams. These placements will be as internships, starting in 2024 for a minimum of 6 months.

Key Accountabilities:

Rooms Operational Internship

• Gain operational experience with Peninsula Rooms standards and procedures in one the following team(s):

• Front desk / Concierge / Guest Relations / Baggage & Transportation / Telephone Services* / Housekeeping

• Ensure that guests receive prompt, warm, courteous and personal services.

• Attend to all guest enquiries, and requests, delivering an exemplary resolution. 

• Provide a “one-stop service” to guests. 

Spa and Wellness Center Receptionist Internship

• Ensure warm, friendly and professional welcome to Spa & Wellness guests.

• Complete daily opening and closing procedures

• Schedule spa and treatment reservations.

• Organize scheduling to maximize use of time, efficiency and profitability.

Food & Beverage Services Internship

• Gain first-hand experience in providing personalized and gracious service in one the following team(s):

• Felix / Gaddi's / Private Dining/ Spring Moon/ The Lobby/ The Verandah/ Beverage

• Perform pre and after-service procedures as per Peninsula standards.

• Understand and accurately deliver the defined sequence of service.

• Ensure consistency of the Food & Beverage service and food offerings.

Sales & Marketing Internship (Brand Marketing)

• Support the daily operations and special PR projects

• Compile press kits with relevant information for visiting journalists

• Maintain and update database for reporting and analysis

Sales & Marketing Internship (Sales)*

• Provide sales and administrative support to sales team 

• Handle telephone enquiries 

• Assist in updating customers’ profile in system and maintain databases

• Assist in hotel inspection

• Handle online gift certificates and perform other relevant duties as assigned

Finance Internship (Start in Q3, 2024)

• Provides support to financial reporting and invoice processing

• Ensure accuracy in records and documents maintenance

• Prepare documents for processing of invoice / delivery note

Procurement Internship* (Start in Q3, 2024)

• Maintain complete and accurate records in all purchases

• Support process with matrices, reporting and analysis

• Keep proper price comparison and list of qualified suppliers

Events Internship* (Start in Q3, 2024)

• Provide administrative support to catering events

• Handle function room-related enquiries

• Coordinate the venue set up to ensure guest satisfaction

General Requirements: 

• Good English communication (verbal, written)

• Good English and Cantonese communication (verbal, written) for the following internships: Telephone Services, Procurement, Events and Sales Internships

• The Peninsula Hong Kong is open to international applicants for the internship opportunities
