Finance internship

Business Unit:  The Peninsula Hong Kong
Location:  Tsim Sha Tsui

We are pleased to offer an internship opportunity that will allow you to develop your hands-on industry knowledge whilst partnering with our administrative team. This role will be responsible for activities related to tasks in our Finance department. That placement will start in Q1 2025 for a minimum of 6 months.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Assist the Finance team in establishing efficient processes
  • Assist the Finance team in ensuring compliance with HSH Finance-related policies and procedures.
  • Process all controls, input, and filing needed, related indistinctively to Income Audit, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable tasks as per business needs
  • Resolve problems referred within the Finance department’s areas of responsibilities
  • Cross-train with the other Accountants to ensure smooth coverage of all related accounting functions during holidays
  • Ascertain that the processes in place are as smooth and as effortless as possible for the operations, using systems to their full extent to automate tasks
  • Support for the month-end process, including monthly financial statements preparation, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Participate in any task necessary to achieve the property’s goals and the highest levels of compliance and efficiency.

 

 

General Requirements

 

  • The Peninsula Hong Kong is open to international applicants for the internship opportunities

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English

  • Preferably fluent in both spoken and written Cantonese or Mandarin

  • Pleasant, courteous, and fun personality

  • Benefits: HK$7,000 per month, 5-day work week, Annual leaves, Training allowance, Medical allowance, Duty meals, F&B discount, Uniform arrangement, Gym facilities
