Director of Talent Acquisition

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking to hire a Director of Talent Acquisition to support the TA function through the enablement of employer branding, candidate experience and technology, as well as champion best practice sourcing and selection for all the positions.

 Key Accountabilities
 

  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the Director of People and Culture pertaining to talent acquisition (advisory, advertising, sourcing, reporting, training, and selection), and functionally report to and support the Head Office TA Centre of Excellence (COE).
  • Establish talent sourcing strategy, and lead the screening and talent selection process and develop a framework that supports hiring from selection through onboarding, ensuring suitable match between candidates and roles.
  • Provide capability and support for the recruitment of key management positions and graduates program, Headhunt for key roles with multiple tools (e.g., LinkedIn, job boards etc)
  • Create and manage talent pools across key functions to minimize vacancy period, including the management of the ATS and related data analysis and reporting.
  • Proactively initiate regular dialogues and seek feedback from senior leaders, People and Culture teams and Head Office TA COE regarding the variety of talent initiatives.
  • Drive all employer branding initiatives to strengthen the employer brand and reputation and to become the employer of choice in the relevant market. 
  • Ensure the People and Culture team is highly proficient in the latest talent acquisition strategies and the operation is in compliance with recruitment legislation and HSH policies.

General requirements

 

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Talent Acquisition Lead in the luxury, tourism, retail, or real estate sectors.
  • Highly experience in headhunting methodologies.
  • Interpersonal, influencing skills and leadership qualities.
  • Possess a performance, continuous improvement and a high curiosity mindset.
  • Sales & marketing experience (branding, digital programming, sales pipelining etc). 
  • Fluent English proficiency (Japanese would be highly advantageous).
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Word, Excel, OneNote.
  • In-depth experience utilizing an ATS (SuccessFactors or similar)
