Assistant Director of Finance

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Accountable for supervising and maintaining overall control of the Accounting Financial Management Systems as it relates to regularity, accuracy and the efficiency of the day-to-day work.
  • Responsible for an efficient and effective day-to-day work routine and to ensure a proper month-end closing with timely preparation of accurate financial statement and reports.
  • Ascertain that all taxes, contributions, licenses, interest and management fees are accurately calculated and paid on time.
  • Review the reports compiled by Cost Controller and communicate with the Procurement Manager to ensure proper procedures and control of inventories.
  • Responsible for an efficient and effective day-to-day work routine and to ensure a proper month-end closing with timely preparation of accurate financial statement and reports.
  • Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Finance during his temporary absence from the hotel.

 

General Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experiences in Financial Accounting and knowledge in taxation
  • Experience in hospitality or related fields is a strong advantage 
  • People management experiences
  • Business level proficiency in both English and Japanese
