Assistant Director of Banquet Service

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Banquet to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service at all times, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: Greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
• Handles, or relays to managers all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
• Establishes and maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
• Understands and accurately follow the standard of sequence of service, pre-service and after-service procedures.
• Understands all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.

General Requirements

• Organizational and planning skills in project conceptualization and execution
• Leadership and management skills
• Seasonal knowledge in international cuisine, including food preparation and presentation
• Thorough knowledge in costing and pricing of food and beverage items
