Assistant Chief Concierge

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking an Assistant Chief Concierge to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct the entire activities and operations of the Concierge Desk.
• Responsible for providing information regarding both City and Peninsula Hotel attractions and points of interest.
• Review Guest Feedback Logbook for appropriate follow up in a timely manner.
• Oversee payroll expenses/overtime in accordance with budgetary guidelines and required service levels.
• Assist Front Office Manager in the preparation of monthly reports, budgets, and forecasts if necessary.
• Provide proper training and exposure within the Concierge department.

General Requirements

• Minimum 3-year experience in Concierge with at least 1 years in a managerial capacity.
• Fluent English speaker and preferably Japanese with great respect for Japanese culture.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
• Deep knowledge of city activities, i.e. theatre, the arts, special exhibits, concerts, shows, sporting events, leisure activities, sightseeing tours, etc. and establish close contacts with people in these areas to provide information, ticketing, reservations.
