Accounting Manager - Peninsula Tokyo – Accounting (Full Timer)

Working alongside a wonderful team at Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking a Accounting manager to support our Accounting operations.

  •  We provide Basic Salary per Month. Bonus 2 times per Year, Pay Increase 1time per Year. Commutation Fee (Max JPY30000 per Month), Overnight Pay. Provide Days-off per Shift, Annual Leave, Special Public Holidays, Life-Work-Balance Leave, Paternity Leave. Entitle Retirement Plan. Enroll Social and Labor Insurance.
     

Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the research and qualification of references as supplied by clients requesting Direct Bill to determine their credit worthiness.
  • Communicate the credit decision to the appropriate departments.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and proper record keeping with regards to the Monthly Aging, Credit Applications and A/R Accounts along with invoices and supporting documents.
  • Responsible for the collection of all A/R accounts and communication with the Director of Finance and/or Assistant Controller of any potential Bad Debts.
  • Process and review all charges for all Preferred Corporate, Travel Agencies, Walks and all Accounts other than Groups/Catered Functions.  To generate and mail statements on the 1st and 15th of the month in accordance to Accounts Receivable Policy and Procedure.
  • Responsible for the organization of Master Accounts in regards to Method of Payment (Cash, Direct Bill or Credit Card).  Assuring collection of cash prior to the event, pre-authorization of credit cards prior to event or insuring direct bill has been established.
  • Attend Monthly Credit Meetings as scheduled.
  • Responsible for verifying and transferring all charges (Rooms, F&B and all other incidental charges) from the Front Office to A/R on a daily basis.

 

General Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge in credit control and billing process.
  •  Knowledge of basic Accounting procedures.
  •  Ability to reconcile accounts.
  •  Ability to operate Hotel Accounting computer system and personal computer.
  •  2-3 years’ accounts receivable and credit control experience in a high volume luxury hotel environment
  • OPERA Skills
