Sous chef junior - pâtisserie

Deliciously Parisian, The Peninsula Paris hotel is ideally located in the heart of the capital, just steps away from some of the world’s most famous monuments, museums, and luxury boutiques. The iconic Haussmannian building consists of 200 luxurious rooms, including 86 suites that are among the most spectacular in the capital. In collaboration with the wonderful team at The Peninsula Paris hotel, we are looking for a Junior Sous-Chef to join our pastry team.

 

  • Work alongside Chef Anne Coruble, Executive Chef David Bizet, and their teams. 
  • Learn and thrive within a Parisian Palace.

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure the highest possible quality of products and the preparation of desserts served à la carte, in terms of taste, temperature, and speed of execution for an optimal customer experience.
  • With the Pastry chef and sous chef,  supervise food tastings and presentations.
  • Train the pastry team to prepare desserts for each menu change.
  • Continuously demonstrate creativity and innovation, both technically and procedurally.
  • Assist and support all actions implemented by the hierarchy and assume a leadership role within the team to successfully carry out new defined projects.
  • Assist the pastry chef in recruiting and training the team.
