Chef - Le Lobby

Perfectly situated at 19 Avenue Kléber, The Peninsula sits in the heart of Paris within walking distance of some of the world’s most famous monuments, museums and luxury shopping districts. The Peninsula houses 200 luxurious rooms, including 93 suites.  

Working alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Paris is seeking a Chef  to join our all-day dining restaurant Le Lobby. 

• Work alongside our Executive Chef David Bizet and his teams
• Grow within a diverse, prestigious and international property.
• Join for a luxury Five Star hotel on the historic Bund in Paris.

Key Accountabilities:

• Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards.
• Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizing waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
• Assists the Executive Chef and team in maintaining equipment in good condition, to maximize usage.
• Maintains good communication with other Food and Beverage section heads, kitchen staff, and other departments.
• Works with Executive Chef and team to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities.
• Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed.
• Actively supports the hotel’s team culture, and contributes to achieve the hotel’s vision, values, and goals.

General Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar environment 
• Experience in working and supervising a team of cooks and stewards.
• Extensive culinary knowledge in both classical and current culinary trends.
• Able to work in high stress environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Creativity
• Team-oriented leadership
• Fluent both in French and English.
• Degree from culinary school or apprenticeship preferred or equivalent experience.
