Assistant Purchasing Director

Working alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Paris is seeking an Assistant Purchasing Storeroom Manager with to provide a guest focused experience and achieve the company’s objectives and lead the team to success.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Oversee purchasing, receiving, and storeroom operations in conjunction with hourly staff with regard to Food, Beverage, and General Storeroom items.
  • Assist staff with deliveries, requisitions, and orders.
  • Manage order guides for assigned product categories.
  • Maintain month end inventories for beverage and general storeroom within the Birchstreet system.
  • Ensure invoice processing and receiving postings are completed in a timely manner in conjunction with receiving.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to improve the food ordering cycle.
  • Work with Laundry and Housekeeping management and staff to create and implement a linen tracking procedure to monitor loss

General requirements

 

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing management position, preferably in a hotel
  • Ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and positions, service orientation towards both internal and external customers.
  • Outgoing, flexible, detail oriented and strong organizational skills.  Good communicator
  • Approachable, organized, ability to handle pressure, works well with diverse personalities
