Room Attendant

Room Attendants perform a combination of tasks, which maintains clean and organized guest rooms, while offering friendly, personal, positive service to all guests.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Cleans and maintains guest rooms, floors, floor stations, and storage areas, ensuring guest comfort according to hotel standards and procedures.
  • Complete all credit transactions by the end of your shift; report any unfinished transactions to your supervisor before leaving.
  • Provide courteous assistance to guests and communicate any requests or concerns to the Supervisor or Housekeeping Management.
  • Report any deficiencies, damages, recurring issues, missing or broken items, stains, or unusual circumstances to the Supervisor or Housekeeping Management.
  • Implement VIP designation procedures in line with the Peninsula Service Principles and Standards.
  • Forward all lost and found items to the housekeeping office or Security.
  • Follow all emergency regulations and departmental policies and procedures.

 

General Requirements:

 

  • 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar role; preferably in a luxury hotel.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as a team and with a diverse team.
  • Ability to communicate and read effectively in English.
  • Standing up to 8 hours and ability to lift 30lbs.
