Food & Beverage Manager

Business Unit:  The Peninsula New York
Location:  New York

The Peninsula New York is looking for an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager that will ensure that the operations in the dining outlets and room service run smoothly and efficiently. In this role the Assistant Food & Beverage Manger will be responsible for our guests to have an enjoyable dining experience and that maximum profitability is achieved.



  • Oversee Food & Beverage operation in each outlet, ensuring that all staff provide personalized, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Play an active role in the department having heavy interaction with guests and providing guidance and support for staff.
  • Handle all guest feedback and resolve any concerns before guests depart the hotel.
  • Ensure that liquor is served responsibly, and that laws and regulations are followed.
  • Ensure that all areas in the outlets are well maintained, clean, neat, and up to par always.
  • Conduct regular briefings to review daily specials, staff understanding of the menu items, serving technique or special handling and uniform/grooming/Peninsula image inspection.
  • Work closely with Culinary and F&B Management to develop ideas, continue to evolve, increase revenue, and profit margins.
  • Assist in training all staff members on standards, procedures, new products, and up-selling techniques.
  • Lead by example and ensure that Peninsula’s standards and Code of Conduct expectations are being met.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Food & Beverage experience in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate appropriate prioritization skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a responsible and responsive manner
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
