Director of Procurement
Overview of the role
We are looking for a passionate individual who will review vendor quality and maintain price controls and inventory flows to identify and implement efficient purchasing programs. Develop and direct objectives, policies, and processes regarding all purchasing function.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide commercial leadership through effective engagement and planning with stakeholders at every level, integrating Procurement best practice into the hotel’s operating model and financial planning cycles and supporting appropriate financial controls
- Develop and deliver a strategic sourcing approach, to drive greater value and deliver sourcing savings, optimise availability, and effectively manage risk
- Work closely with other Heads of Departments to define an aligned and effective approach to meeting the needs of the hotel
- Partner other departments to influence wider hotel thinking, embed commercially orientated strategies, deliver business objectives, and maintain a collaborative approach through the procurement team
- Foster sourcing excellence throughout the business by developing and executing sourcing strategies
General Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Financial Management
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity in the hospitality industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Analytical, with good business acumen
- Influential, a good persuader
