The Peninsula London is seeking to hire a skilled Carpenter who will take pride in ensuring the good maintenance of all of the Hotel and the Residences woodworks through carrying out day to day tasks and projects, both in planned and reactive maintenance.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Ensure preventive and reactive maintenance tasks are performed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and correctly recorded.
  • Repair all aspects of the Hotel interior and exterior wood works, furniture and fixtures, walls, floors, doors with a variety of finishes liaising with French Polisher as required to match existing finish.
  • Construct partitions, doors, windows, sign boards, bulletin boards, boxes, shelves, and other furniture together with fittings as required.
  • Make decorations and models for functions and festivals  

 

General requirements

 

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role within a similar environment.
  • Trade certified with experience in joinery works and furniture and fixtures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively. Good problem-solving skills, organised and detail oriented with a sense of creativity.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency.

The Peninsula London, located at 1-5 Grosvenor Place in Belgravia, will overlook Hyde Park Corner, the Wellington Arch, Green Park and the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Upon completion, the hotel will have 190 guestrooms with 25 luxury Peninsula-branded residential apartments. The construction budget for the project is in the region of £800 million and our ambition is for the hotel and residences to set new standards in luxury and service in the London market.
