Finance internship

Business Unit:  The Peninsula London

We are pleased to offer an internship opportunity that will allow you to develop your hands-on industry knowledge whilst partnering with our administrative team. This role will be responsible for assisting the Finance team with preparing financial reports, analyzing expenses, and supporting the hotel’s financial operations to ensure smooth and efficient management. That placement will start in Q1 2025 for a minimum of 6 months.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Assist the Finance team in establishing efficient processes
  • Assist the Finance team in ensuring compliance with HSH Finance-related policies and procedures.
  • Process all controls, input, and filing needed, related indistinctively to Income Audit, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable tasks as per business needs.
  • Resolve problems referred to within the Finance department’s areas of responsibility.
  • Cross-train with the other Accountants to ensure smooth coverage of all related accounting functions during holidays.
  • Participate in a departmental training plan to ensure that each team member is fully dependable, independent in their tasks and prepared for their next position.
  • Ascertain that the processes in place are as smooth and as effortless as possible for the Operations, using systems to their full extent to automate tasks.
  • Support for the month-end process, including monthly financial statements preparation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Participate in any task necessary to achieve the property’s goals and the highest levels of compliance and efficiency.
