Executive Housekeeper

The Peninsula London, superbly located at 1-5 Grosvenor Place in Belgravia, will overlook Hyde Park Corner, the Wellington Arch, Green Park and the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Upon completion, the hotel will have 190 guestrooms with 25 luxury Peninsula-branded residential apartments. The construction budget for the project is in the region of £800 million and our ambition is for the hotel and residences to set new standards in luxury and service in the London market with completion currently scheduled for early 2023. Located in the highly prestigious Belgravia district of London, The Peninsula London is seeking to hire an experienced Executive Housekeeper exudes passion for the role, able to lead and develop a large team  of housekeepers whilst ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are setup and maintained to the utmost standard.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Ensures all rooms are in excellent condition and is responsible for managing and ensuring the impeccable maintenance and cleanliness of the Rooms facilities.
  • Espouse high standards which are cascaded to the wider housekeeping department which Peninsula is known for.
  • Take overall responsibility for daily operational issues within the Housekeeping Department including accurate scheduling, service recovery, continuous coverage, and efficient service delivery.
  • Assist the Director of Services in the creation and management of the annual operating budget including capital expenditures and monitors the monthly financial performance.
  • Manages the laundry and uniform operation.
  • Hires, develops, motivates, supervises, and coaches department employees.

 

General requirements

 

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role within luxury hotels (pre-opening experience is highly desirable)
  • Is a natural organiser, highly detailed and able to engage with guests.
  • Strong people leader and trainer having prior experience managing diverse teams.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with the Housekeeping department and other departments.
  • Fluent English language skills and presentation ability.
  • Self-starter, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
