Engineering Coordinator

The Peninsula London is seeking to hire a talented Engineering Coordinator who will take pride in assisting the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering with the day-to-day management of the Engineering Office, including of all administrative tasks and distribution of incoming jobs to the team.

Key accountabilities

• Allocate PPM works daily following the scheduled program according to guidelines and inform the Director of Engineering of all works planned to enable all activities to guestrooms, public areas to be assigned to relevant engineering colleagues.
• Attend daily morning team briefings and ensure that any work distributed is recorded on the defect tracking system and followed up to resolution ensuring optimum operating performance.
• Monitor departmental expenditures through logging of all purchases and matching all invoices received with relevant purchase orders and delivery/work sheets.
• Prepare monthly overviews of departmental expenditures and produce necessary reports/graphical representations to support the monthly profit & loss meetings.

General requirements

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role within a similar environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, multi-tasking ability.
• Good problem-solving skills, organised and detail oriented.
• Fluent English communication proficiency.

The Peninsula London, located at 1-5 Grosvenor Place in Belgravia, will overlook Hyde Park Corner, the Wellington Arch, Green Park and the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Upon completion, the hotel will have 190 guestrooms with 25 luxury Peninsula-branded residential apartments. The construction budget for the project is in the region of £800 million and our ambition is for the hotel and residences to set new standards in luxury and service in the London market.
