Sales Manager - Corporate

The Peninsula Istanbul is located in the historic Karaköy area overlooking the Bosphorus – the meeting point of Asia and Europe. The hotel will feature 177 luxurious guest rooms and suites, a grand ballroom with sweeping views of the Bosphorus, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa and a verdant garden on the waterfront. As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Peninsula Istanbul is seeking to hire a Sales Manager responsible from Corporate Sales.

Key accountabilities

 

 

  • The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for key account management and business generation as it relates to prospecting and securing individual corporate accounts on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the goals and strategies outlined in the annual Marketing Plan.
  • The Manager will ensure that sales activities, top accounts and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per available room.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls in the assigned territories, prospecting calls, site inspections and fam trips. 
  • Perform customer site inspections.
  • Conduct sales calls to the assigned territories to uncover needs and present solutions that will maximize booking opportunity and create strong customer relationships.
  • Must possess solid selling and interpersonal skills and who demonstrate the energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal goals.
  • Proven track record in pursuing, evaluating, soliciting, selling and confirming business as required in order to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.
  • Active networking and prospecting new accounts to meet Hotel objectives required.

 

General requirements

 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Luxury hotel Sales preferred and or operational hotel experience, proven sales track record a plus.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  • Exhibits excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates strong persuasive and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of management and colleagues.
  • Self-starter, well presented, team-oriented, excellent communication skills, goals and results-oriented.
  • Excellent command in English.
