Floral and Plant Specialist

Key accountabilities

• Prepare ground for planting seeds, bulbs, seasonal flowers, shrubs, lawn, and trees and fertilize and maintain lawns and indoor plants. 
• Understand all aspects of gardening services and management and train the gardening team to enable them to confidently deal with all aspects of their roles.
• Adhere to statutory obligations and agreed quality and best practice guidelines, including company Policies and Procedures.
• Quality control of all aspects of gardening including Health and Safety
• Maintain plants through accepted gardening standards.
• Watering and feeding plants, trimming trees and shrubs, fertilizing and mowing lawns
• Keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter

General requirements

• Practical knowledge of plants plus experience in using general garden machinery.
• A friendly individual who is helpful to guests, can work with confidence and enthusiasm, be self-motivated, adaptable, proactive and be a team player.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with the Housekeeping department and other departments.
• Expertise in a second language would be desirable
