Chef de Cuisine - Felix

Business Unit:  The Peninsula Hong Kong
Location:  Hong Kong

We are looking for a talented Chef de Cuisine with enthusiasm and passion, as well as  outstanding interpersonal and communications skills to take up this exciting Felix Chef position.

Responsibilities:

 

  • To manage and run the Felix kitchen independently on a day to day basis. 
  • Creates, develops, costs and implements new menu items on a very frequent basis. 
  • To train, coach and develop his/her culinary team. 
  • Provides reference and support to the service brigade. 
  • To actively participate in the Peninsula Academy Programme by conducting cooking classes.
  • The food concept is “Modern European”, encompassing freshest ingredients from all around the world; prepared and served in a contemporary, interesting and appealing way.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must possess training in contemporary international cuisine.
  • Must possess a minimum of 6 years working experience in top-rated restaurants in Northern America or Europe and/or Australia with a leading position i.e. Chef de cuisine or Sous-chef of a Restaurant.
  • Essential to possess a flair for innovation and new trends in cooking and presentation. 
  • Needs to have thorough product knowledge and has to be capable to train and develop his/her local colleagues. 
  • Good command of the English language is essential and the candidate needs to possess good team spirit to promote a strong culinary team
