Seasonal Steward

Business Unit:  The Peninsula Chicago
Location:  Chicago

Working alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a seasonal steward or dishwasher to join our F&B team to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Responsible for all activities of stewarding involving safe and efficient cleaning and maintaining equipment as delegated.
  • Ensure complete knowledge of dish washing machine operation
  • Apply proper usage of all chemicals
  • Good knowledge of chemicals used.
  • Replenish stock and inform supervisor of all materials and supplies needed for next day operation
  • Have full knowledge of banquet setup as needed
  • Use equipment, tools and service equipment as per standards.
  • To facilitate and conduct all inventories required by the department
  • Ensure a safe working clean environment
  • Respond properly to any hotel emergency.
  • Re-stocking of all silverware in appropriate designated area
  • Polishing equipment that need to be polished

 

General requirements

 

  • Must possess a good knowledge of Chemicals and proper handling of equipment
  • Impeccable grooming and excellent presentation.
  • Able to lift and move utilities up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work flexible hours. Being able to work under pressure
  • Being able to follow proper job-related guidance
