People & Culture Coordinator

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Chicago, we are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our People & Culture operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate all administrative and communication tasks of employee onboarding, off-boarding, and movement within the organization. 
  • Responsible for the data and system maintenance for all online or physical files; assist in troubleshooting and process resolution on HRIS and related online benefits portal.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annually reporting and analysis of headcount, turnover, and other key HR metrics.
  • Serve as a resource with co-workers, staff, and management to handle written and telephonic communication in a timely manner.
  • Review electronic forms for processing personnel and benefit actions to check accuracy and adherence to procedure and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate Hotel and People & Culture announcements via emails, meetings, and posted announcements through the Hotel and on official bulletin boards.

General Requirements:

  • 1 year of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience within hospitality preferred.
  • Ability to process highly confidential information in a professional manner. 
  • Friendly, driven, detail-oriented, and effectively communicate in spoken and written English to all internal and external guests, staff, and management needed.
