Bartender - Z Bar

Working alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a seasonal bartender to join our F&B team to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key accountabilities

• Provide and maintain the highest standards possible for guests by insuring quick, efficient and professional service.
• Responsible for all activities related to service in the beverage department, which includes preparation tasks and performing service as per standards set by the hotel.
• Utilize the POS system as per policies and procedures in place.
• Effectively perform pre-service and after-service procedures as per standard.
• Understand and accurately follow the standard of sequence of service.
• Ensure a consistency of the correct service techniques for all type of food and beverage served.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage menu items.
• Good knowledge of wines and all other beverages.
• Ensure usage of all food and beverage items and appropriate usage of equipment, tools and service equipment.
• Utilize the POS system as per policies and procedure in place.

General requirements

• Must have at least 2 years bartending experience in an upscale establishment
• Solid knowledge of liquor, mix-drinks, cocktails, wine
• Excellent knowledge of beverages, including wines and cocktails.
• Outgoing, Ability to work in a team, creative, motivated, good listener and thorough follow up.  Able to follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.Impeccable grooming and excellent presentation.
