Executive Sous Chef

Working with a talented team of Food & Beverage professionals, The Peninsula Bangkok is seeking a forward thinking and creative Executive Sous Chef (Local Package) to oversee all culinary team.

  • Work for a luxurious Five-Star property located alongside the scenic Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.
  • Grow within a diverse multi-outlet property.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting and overseeing Outlet Chef de Cuisine to make accurate recipe cards.
  • Conducts market surveys, checks food cost on a daily basis and checks details of each outlet requisitions
  • Oversees and spot checks food deliveries and controls effective storage and stock level
  • Contributes to overall profits, through prevention of wastage and maximizing use of raw materials
  • Assists the Executive Chef to ensure the hotel’s high standards are maintained and improved continually.     
  • Maintains and constantly improves quality of food served in all outlets
  • Provides new ideas for creative menu and food concepts.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years culinary leadership experience in a Five-Star hotel 
  • Highly creative individual with a strong eye for artistry and design
  • Relevant professional qualifications (eg. Culinary, Hospitality, Business, Marketing)
  • Ability to speak English fluently, additional languages would be highly advantageous.
