Director of Learning and Talent Development

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an internal consultant, working with department heads to identify training needs at all levels, considering industry trends, market strategies, and operational requirements.
- Develop annual training plans, scheduling activities in alignment with business seasonality and operational needs.
- Lead the recruitment and selection of trainees and interns across all levels and departments, including corporate management trainees.
- Facilitate cross-exposure and cross-training programs within the hotel group and with community educational institutions.
- Establish training and development policies, including orientation programs, mandatory role-specific training, promotion pathways, external sponsorships, and training library resources.
- Oversee and deliver orientation programs for new hires.
- Design and update training courses for supervisory and senior levels, tailoring content to evolving business needs.
- Organize, deliver, and evaluate key training initiatives, including hotel-specific and head-office-directed programs.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory legal training requirements and support staff development through soft skill training courses.
- Drive talent development using tools such as coaching, project-based assignments, and cross-training.
- Cascade and communicate organizational core values to team members at all levels.
- Promote knowledge-sharing through various communication channels such as departmental trainer meetings, staff boards, and other forums.
- Build strong industry relationships with local and international professionals and organizations to access external training resources.
- Provide educational and career counseling to employees, supporting their growth and development goals.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Training, Learning & Development, or Organizational Development, including at least 2 years in a management role.
- Proven expertise as a trainer with strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Deep knowledge of adult learning principles, particularly in a hospitality context.
- Fluency in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
