Assistant Manager
Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Bangkok, we are seeking an Assistant Manager who are responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of hotel services and the effective enforcement of security measures across the property.

Key accountabilities
- Act and respond in the absence of senior management in all matters concerning the safety and security of the hotel, medical emergency and well-being of hotel guests, patrons and employees.
- Handles and respond properly in any hotel emergency and safety situation according to established procedures
- Assist in monitoring, directing, controlling and implementing department policies and procedures to meet the needs of the guests to avoid complaints. Ensures guests satisfaction is achieved and promotes goodwill of the hotel.
- Ensuring the highest quality and standards in daily team performance through solid understanding of the trend and area of performance through close observations and guest feedback analysis. Exercise the leadership to facilitate necessary measures such as reinforcement of the training and optimizing the procedures/systems.
- Handle guest problems and complaints in courteous and efficient manner.
- Assist other departments and ensure an efficient running of the hotel operation by maintaining a good relationship and offering assistance/guidance in resolving challenges.
- Control the room availability on full house situation to maximize occupancy. Manage inventory and seek ways to maximizing the room revenue by overseeing the room allocation and driving upselling.
- Perform routine, arbitrary rounds of the entire hotel focusing on cleanliness, safety condition and maintenance ensuring that the hotel is presented at its best.
- Review the accuracy of the financial transactions and reports produced throughout the day, and execute the End of the Day process during the overnight.
General requirements
- 2-year experience in the same capacity of a deluxe hotel operation and 1-year experience in the equivalent position.
- Thorough knowledge of the Front Office procedures, hotel rules and regulation.
- Ability to handle issues and complaints referred effectively.
- Ability to work on their own and dealing with crisis situation with good judgement.
- Excellent command of English
- Relevant University Qualifications (e.g. Hospitality Management)
