Assistant Director of Catering & Events Management

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Bangkok, we are seeking a Assistant Director of Catering and Events Management who has the specific focus on wedding segmentation with the responsibilities of market intelligent updates, sales plan, sales activities, reports and other related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wedding segmentation bookings.
• Maintain and update wedding booking information.
• Maintain a good and organized record system for reference.
• Prepare capital expenditures for Banquet Operations.
• Prepare the status change and cancellation reports.
• Develop good knowledge of the operational limitations of each department.
• Ensure that all banquet functions and events are duly covered by a contract.
• Utilize technology tools such as Opera Sales & Catering to make sure that Data Integrity will be at the fullest Marketing and Sales potential.
• Ensure that all credit and collection procedures established by the Finance are adhere and being implemented.
• Maximises up-selling opportunities 
• Attends wedding networking & social functions and other related events to promote sales (rooms, catering, F&B, Spa and other facilities and services) for the hotel. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hotel management courses with hotel operations
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of Catering & Events Management with 2 years in a senior supervisory position at an international hotel
• Knowledgeable in Opera Sales & Catering and other technical platforms related to wedding, catering and events tasks
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
