Key Accountabilities

 

  • Lead and initiate innovation roadmap of assigned product categories and seasons to meet business objectives of the company, supported by brand, customer, market, tasting and financial validations
  • Lead all aspects of product innovation/ renovation – involving product & packaging development, sourcing, tasting line-up, profitability assessment, volume consolidation, timeline, internal and external documentation and approval, etc. along with both internal and external stakeholders across markets to ensure brand standard are well delivered
  • Ensure product delivery to meet company's quality requirements by obtaining necessary approvals, customer validation, market specificities and are in legal compliance across targeted markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product innovation plan that meets The Peninsula standard, involving Design, R&D Chef, Supply chain & Procurement, QA, Marketing, Finance, business champions, etc. 
  • Track innovation performance with learning and implication to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify potential vendor for respective product innovation and evaluate respective potential suppliers’ performance and commercial terms to ensure they comply with group’s procurement and quality assurance policy
  • Conduct market research for assigned product categories across regions / channel / potential suppliers to understand the latest customer noise/ category trend & technology, and identify new product potentials
  • Support effective tools development and appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) roll-out across targeted markets for innovation project
  • Any other tasks or projects as assigned by Senior Manager, Product Development

 

Requirements 

 

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experiences, preferably gained from food/ gifting/ retail industry
  • Degree holder in any disciplines
  • Experience in luxury sector including retail, premium food & beverage and fast-moving consumable goods will be an advantage
  • Creative and always get on top of latest trends
  • Ability to work independently and work well with all levels of management
  • With business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Good team player and willing to work under pressure to meet the goals
  • Self-motivated, organized, detailed minded
  • Strong time management skill with sense of priorities and urgency
  • Strong command in both written and oral Cantonese and English. Mandarin is a plus
