Accounting/Payroll Specialist

Business Unit:  The Quail Lodge Resort & Golf Club
Location:  Carmel, CA

Are you a self-motivated individual with appreciation for accounting? If so, this may be the ideal position for you. Working alongside the amazing team at The Quail Lodge & Golf Club, we are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support our accounting department.

Key Accountabilities

  • Verify the daily bank deposits to the cash / checks received.
  • Responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and all payroll related tasks such as employee deductions, 401(k) submission, reconciling tips/gratuities, payroll tax filings, etc.
  • Liaison with the payroll provider when issues arise or changes to the system are required
  • Oversee time entry system and the time clocks to ensure they are operational and correct
  • Assist with month-end accounting process according to established procedures and deadlines
  • Maintain AP filing system, including vendor documentation, payments, invoices, purchase orders, and capital spending


General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or 2 years of similar work experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience processing payroll according to CA labor laws
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in Accounting within the hospitality industry preferred


Rate: $24.00
