Assistant Manager, Logistics
The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, The Repulse Bay and many high-profile assets globally) is seeking to hire an Assistant Manager, Logistics to join the Information Technology Department, based in our office located in Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong. This role will assist in managing procurement process and various purchasing & logistics activities relating to the function’s daily operations and projects.

Key Accountabilities
- Assist in managing procurement process including order placement, logistic arrangement and the function’s finance and budget in compliance with applicable laws and the group’s internal guidelines
- Assist in maintaining a comprehensive suppliers list, monitoring and evaluating supplier performance, staying informed about the latest developments and market positions of key suppliers and promptly addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
- Assist in review and monitoring inventory control, forecast and replenishment
- Liaise with internal/external teams and departments relating to the function’s finance and budget, as well as daily operations and projects
General requirements
- Holder of Diploma/ Certificate of Procurement Studies or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience gained from a sizable organisation
- Sound knowledge of procurement control and governance, with direct procurement experience, preferably in ELV (Extra-Low Voltage), electronics, IoT and computer parts and equipment
- Good communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills
- Team player, proactive, independent and mature
- Proficient in MS applications, knowledge of ERP/Procurement/Finance system is a plus
- Good command of written and spoken of Chinese and English
