Assistant Director, Hospitality Technologies

The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, The Repulse Bay and many high-profile assets globally) is seeking to hire an Assistant Director, Hospitality Technologies to join the Information Technology Department, based in our Corporate office located in Central, Hong Kong. This role will collaborate closely with different stakeholders to enhance our guest journey and provide support for our OnePMS initiative and other projects related to Hospitality Technologies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Director, Technology Partner in leading a cross-departmental process to enhance the guest journey, foster the idea generation and innovation, and ensure that the company maintains a competitive advantage in delivering a world-class guest experience
  • Partner with business stakeholders to establish IT strategy related to Hospitality Technologies that aligns with business needs, execute the delivery plan accordingly and implement new systems as agreed upon
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational pain points, guest expectations, industry trends and influence third-party strategic partners. Identify areas where technology can effectively support business and departmental goals
  • Manage different hotel and departmental applications including but not limited to property management system, guest messaging, web booking engine, revenue management systems installed at corporate and the operational level
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams involving technology solutions, security, PMO and services to ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Work closely with vendors on systems design & enhancements
  • Ensure timely updates to external and internal stakeholders through ongoing communication
  • Prepare functional requirement documents, coordinate request for proposal, and support audit and system reviews when required

 

General Requirements

  • University degree holder in Information Technology or equivalent disciplines
  • 8+ years’ of IT relevant working experience, preferably gained from hospitality industry
  • Good knowledge of IT technology platforms, Microsoft Office suite, project management tools and cloud/On-Prem system architecture
  • Familiar with hospitality software solutions and integration
  • Experience with technical document writing
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, analytical with good commercial acumen
  • Self-initiative, innovative with strong forward-thinking mindset; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good command of written and spoken of Chinese and English
