Intern, Operations Finance

Working alongside a professional team in the Group’s Head Office based in Hong Kong, we are seeking an Intern, Operations Finance to join the team.  This role will be responsible for preparing key profit & loss and capital expenditure templates for the annual group budget process. The annual budget process is one of the key financial planning processes of the Group and the output of the process will drive profitability and support leaderships’ decision-making and strategic planning for HSH’s portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist the Operations Finance team to prepare all the excel budget templates for the operations P&L and Capital Expenditure submissions
• Perform detailed checking and self-review of work and escalate questions and concerns on a timely basis to the team
• Contribute ideas to improve quality and control in budget templates
• Provide day-to-day support on ad hoc tasks for Operations Finance team as needed

General requirements

• Understanding of basics finance concepts (including P&L and Capital Expenditure)
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, prefer advanced knowledge and able to work independently in Excel
• Strong skills in time management, organisation and attention to detail
• Being a team player with can-do attitude
• Good communication with ability to liaise with different team members
• Key dates will be from May through August 2024, some flexibility depending on the candidates availability.
