Private Event Manager
Working alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Private Event Manager to join our Catering team to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities:
- Respond to all telephone and walk in inquiries regarding catering/private dining space
- Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
- Act as liaison between the client and hotel for all of the client needs, (i.e., hotel rooms, catering and events, audio visual, transporation, off-site event recommendations)
- Have excellent knowledge of hotel facilities and capacities and dimensions of meeting rooms/private dining space
- Develop creative and attractive menu presentations for potential clients
- Coordinate the sale efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenue
General Requirements:
- Experience with word processing software
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- At least 1 year of experience in a luxury hotel preferred
- Fine dining experience preferred
