Purchasing Manager

Business Unit:  The Peninsula Manila
Location:  Makati

Overview of the role

 

We are looking for a passionate individual who will be accountable for the efficient and effective administration of the hotel’s Purchasing Division and for the procurement of goods and services as required by the user department.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Purchasing department, assisting the Director of Procurement in purchasing goods and services at optimum prices consistent with their requested quality on a timely basis.

  • Assist all departments in establishing Purchase Specifications

  • Together with the Director of Procurement, liaise with the users to ensure that products and services procured by the hotel meet the user’s requirements, as well as suggests products that have positive financial and quality impacts

  • Ensure compliance with the Group’s purchasing policies and procedures

  • Resolve problems referred within the purchasing department’s areas of responsibilities

 

General Requirements:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or BS Accountancy, preferably a Certified Public Accountant
  • Should have at least 2-3 years experience in the same capacity
  • Above average knowledge of a hotel’s revenue process and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in Opera, Infrasys and Sun systems and Microsoft applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent Supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, hardworking, with good analytical ability, organized, motivated and a team player
