Reactive Catering Senior Sales Manager
Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Bangkok, we are seeking The Reactive Catering Sales Manager or Reactive Catering Senior Sales Manager assists and performs all sales activities in his/her the area of responsibility, driving sales, developing new accounts while further growing existing ones with specific responsibility of optimizing revenues while representing the hotel according to brand standards; Executes all action plans and strategies as set forth in the marketing plan with special focused on achieving annual occupancy and revenue budgets.

Responsibilities
1. Business Administration
- Responsible for managing the M&E business blocks and Conference Diary into SEP (Shiji Enterprise Platform).
- Prepare weekly catering sales report on catering sales activities and give a summary of notes of activities that transpire between the C&E department and other relevant departments.
- Attend daily briefing and weekly sales meetings or other internal meetings as assigned by Supervisor.
- Review account production regularly.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the potential clients database
- Establishes good working relationship within the department and with other departments
- Directly supervises all sales and catering coordinators in their day to day administrative tasks while ensuring implementation of policies and procedures.
- Consistently reviews administrative policies and procedures to ensure minimal audit findings during annual reviews.
2. Business Development
- Responsible for the conversion of the business leads from sales department
- Implement all sales action plans related to his/her industry zoning area as assigned
- Solicit, establish and maintain files on major active accounts within his/her responsibility with continuous probing for potential accounts.
- Plan catering sales activities to business leads, calling on existing and potential accounts within their specific zones.
- Provide information on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail. Arrange and accompany clients on Fam/Site inspection tour in the hotel.
- Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major areas through sales solicitation, telephone contact and social networking.
- Execute all promotional materials as well as keep abreast of direct competitor activities.
- Entertainment is mandatory for prospective and existing clients in the hotel outlets as specified.
- Responsible through follows up for payment of deposit and subsequent prior payments to events before handing over to event management team.
- Handle and reply of general requests (Email, Telephone or through other online platforms)
- Room and F&B promotion
- Achieve the conversion ratio set in the budget
3. Marketing Planning
- Assists in preparation of the Marketing Plan
- Actively participates in achieving the Sales & Marketing budget.
- Responsible for achieving the departmental goals.
4. Others
- Performs such other functions as may be delegated by management from time to time
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent hotel management courses with hotel operations
- Minimum 4 years in a similar or relevant field
- Good knowledge of computer skills i.e. Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
