Internship - Pastry

Business Unit:  The Peninsula Paris
Location:  Paris

We are pleased to offer an internship opportunity that will allow you to develop your hands-on industry knowledge whilst partnering with our operational team. This role will be responsible for activities related to the service in our Pastry department.

Key accountabilities

 

  • Responsible for assisting the Pastry team in all aspects of the day-to-day operation and for ensuring that hotel standards and guidelines are followed and maintained continually.
  • Produce all food required by the supervisor to the highest standard.
  • Maintain a culture in compliance with the mission, vision, values, and core principles of HSH.
  • Always follow technical worksheets and recipes as assigned.
  • Ensure physical and environmental hygiene is maintained in adherence to HACCP.
  • Always keep the kitchen equipment in pristine condition to maximize its operating life.

 

 

General requirements

 

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques 

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Passion for culinary arts and desire to learn

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Understanding of kitchen sanitation and safe regulations

  • Internship Agreement - mandatory
  • That opportunity is eligible for a Right to work permit
