Assistant Director of People and Culture

Business Unit:  The Repulse Bay
Location:  Hong Kong

The Repulse Bay is seeking an Assistant Director of People and Culture to assist the Director in strategically partnering with Executive Committees and Heads of Department on people-related matters to achieve company's business objectives and financial goals.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute people strategies aligned with business objectives to enhance employee experience
  • Manage People and Culture initiatives, including onboarding, internal communication, and employee engagement programs
  • Act as HR business partner to provide Human Resources strategic support to department heads
  • Establish and implement proactive talent acquisition strategies to reduce time-to-hire and cost-per-hire, while elevating the overall candidate experience
  • Stay updated on best practices, labour laws, and legislation changes to ensure market competitiveness and compliance, and communicate these effectively to all stakeholders
  • Responsible for overall planning, organisation and administration of manpower, compensation, benefits, performance and data management programmes to drive operational efficiency
  • Create employee value propositions to support employer branding and become the Employer of Choice
  • Monitor the P&C budget and control operational costs, providing advice as needed
  • Train and develop team members, sharing the latest legislation updates

 

General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in HR Management with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, strong problem solving required
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to use HR analytics to drive continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese with good computer skills
