Room Attendant (Part Timer)

Working alongside a wonderful team at The Peninsula Tokyo, we are seeking a Room Attendant (Part timer) to achieve the company’s objectives and create a memorable guest experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the guest rooms, guest floors, floor stations and storage rooms. 
  • Ensure the comfort of all hotel guests in accordance with the hotel procedures and standards.
  • Adhere to all emergency regulations and Department policies and procedures and report to Floor Supervisor and Inspector directly.

 

Example of Shift

A 9:45-18:45 / B 9:45-15:45 / C 17:00-22:00 

 

Daily workflow
Arrive at work → Briefing → Cleaning Work → Tidy up the area → Share Reminders, Information and Handover → End of work

To achieve the goal of making up one room by one person in two hours, efficiency and agility are required. It might not be an easy task, but it is rewarding and always comes with job satisfaction. In addition to room cleaning, our Room Attendant is also responsible for turndown, runner, and coordinator duties, which provide you with a lot of opportunities to communicate with guests. Teamwork

  • Working closely with the Front Desk team and coordinators to ensure room cleaning is conducted smoothly. Communication among team members is also important.

 

Multitasking Skills

  • Apart from room cleaning, you will be responsible for checking and the replenishment of amenities in the assigned floor stations, and response to different situations. 

 

Information management skills

  • Apart from the briefing at the beginning of the shift, you are required to check the updated guest information and check-in/out status proactively as the information might change time by time. You are also required to perform the duties accurately under the supervisor's direction.

 

English Proficiency

  • When you are in charge of the turndown and coordinator duties, you will have the opportunities to communicate with our guests in English.


General Requirements

  • Able to work more than 4 days per week including weekends. (Applicable to part-time staff)
  • Native Japanese or equivalent level in speaking and listening.
  • Work experience in 5-star hotels will be an advantage.
