Overview of the role

We are looking for top-caliber, highly motivated, upbeat hospitality professionals to take on the challenge of becoming a world-class hotelier. The perfect candidate shall assist and prepare all necessary mis en place for the designated restaurant/outlet venue and ensure all proper execution of food preparations assigned.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible to supervise and prepare all food in his assigned kitchen
  • To carry out daily checks of all refrigerators and freezers
  • Check food storage areas and refrigerators for cleanliness and proper functioning at least twice daily
  • Kitchen utensils issued and work stations are to be clean and tidy
  • Assist in all kitchens assigned to him or her

 

General Requirements

  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience as Commis in a 5 star Hotel or reputable restaurant, a total of 6+ years in Culinary experience
  • Basic Culinary education, Culinary Degree Preferred, HACCP Certification
  • Possess a good leadership ability with strong focus on training and upgrading of food quality/portion control
  • Knowledgeable in hygiene and sanitation standards​​​​​​​
