Senior Manager, Marketing

Business Unit:  Peninsula Merchandising China
Location:  Shanghai

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing to lead Peninsula Merchandising China Marketing function. This role reports into Country Manager, Mainland China and is responsible for establishing The Peninsula Boutique & Café brand in China with carrying the heritage and brand DNA in order to support the business objectives. The incumbent will be In-charge of full range of branding and marketing functions for Mainland China.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and formulate branding and marketing strategies. Execute marketing campaign, social media strategy, product launch and retail stores opening, key responsibilities include proactively devising and executing marketing strategies to fully leverage the brand to maximise exposure.
  • Implement brand communications initiatives to drive global brand proposition aligned with overall brand strategy driven by Head Quarter.
  • Work closely with various business units and departments in the group to ensure that product and marketing propositions and initiatives enhance the overall brand and contribute to the business.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships to optimise campaign effectiveness and maximise cost savings.
  • Gain customer insights, identify marketing opportunities, conduct competitor & market research and make recommendations by various marketing and CRM initiatives.
  • Manage marketing plans and communications / public relations campaign calendar for all sales channels.
  • Build professional relationship with media and influencers in maximize brand media and social media coverage.
  • Handle any PR crisis and develop guidelines for PR enquiries with the guidance from Head Quarter.
  • Manage annual marketing budget cycle and gain necessary approvals; control spending to meet budget requirements.
  • Ensure all spending of the department are fully complied with the Company’s procurement policy and local regulations.
  • Adapt and execute marketing & communications initiative assigned by Head Quarter to support overall brand strategies.

 

Requirements:

  • Celebrate The Peninsula heritage, able to connect with people and be passionate about excellence.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience, with at least 4 years in function responsible position.
  • Get on top of market trend, in depth understanding of luxury brand.
  • Solid achievements in building brand awareness in China is a must.
  • Experience in the sectors of premium consumable goods, confectionery or food will be an advantage.
  • Degree holder in any disciplines.
  • Excellent skills in presentation, storytelling and influencing.
  • Exceptional commend in both written and oral English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
