Contract Accountant

Job Description


Reporting to Assistant Financial Controller, this position works closely with an Accounting Officer and is responsible for supporting all-round accounting operations including but not limited to account receivable, account payable, online sales accounting, treasury etc.

Key Responsibilities 





  • To review all cheques, bank drafts and TT payments are properly prepare and approved
  • To supervisor the sub ordinaries to deal with payment of expenses and claims 
  • To ensure that all expenses are allocated to the appropriate accounts 
  • To review all expenses accrual and payments and ensure that all the payments are genuine and authorized in accordance with approval authority as set out in the Company Management Authority Manual 
  • Ensure reconciliations for bank, inter-company movements and other major balance sheet items are prepared on a timely basis (review sub-ordinate’s journal) 
  • To review all postings, in particular, account allocation with respect to expenses for various departments and prepayments/ accruals are properly booked 
  • To review all journal vouchers and ensure all the accounting entries are properly supported 
  • To ensure that long outstanding receivables are highlighted for management consideration 
  • To maintain the fix asset register and prepare the depreciation journal 
  • To review the reconcile daily sales boutique revenue prepared by accounting officer and verify all transactions was properly recorded 
  • To responsible for petty cash float
  • To participate in preparation of monthly and weekly report and forecast for senior management’s review




  • Liaise with NAV consultant to make sure the operation smooth
  • Maintain chart of accounts for the ledger system (both in sun account and NAV system)
  • Prepare statutory accounts of PML for external/internal auditors’ review


Employee Handling


  • To provide guidelines and supervision for the sub ordinaries to ensure the operation efficiency
  • To assist in monitoring the inventory level of PML and coordinate with warehouse supervisor to ensure the inventory movement are properly recorded




  • A bachelor degree with a professional qualification in finance, accounting or relevant disciplines
  • Qualified Accountant under ACCA/HKICPA
  • At least 6 years working experience in accounting
  • Experience in using NAV will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS office application
  • Able to work independently and be a team player
  • Immediately available is highly preferred
