Management Trainee - Food & Beverage

We are pleased to offer an exciting 12-month Management Trainee opportunity in our Food & Beverage Division, designed to develop future hospitality leaders through immersive, hands-on experience across our award-winning dining operations. The Peninsula Shanghai is looking for a Food & Beverage Management Trainee to join the hotel’s Food and Beverage department starting July 2026, ensuring high-quality service and contributing to the success of our luxury dining experiences.

• Open to candidates from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan (for visa/work permit purposes)

Key accountabilities

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of F&B operations, including restaurant, bar, and event services, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality dining experiences
• Learn and apply best practices in food and beverage service to exceed guest expectations, focusing on attention to detail, personalized service, and timely execution
• Collaborate with F&B staff to provide effective training, motivation, and support, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high standards of performance
• Enhance guest satisfaction through proactive engagement, addressing feedback and complaints with a focus on resolution and continuous improvement
  
• Support the planning and execution of special events, banquets, and catering services, ensuring a seamless experience from conception to completion
  
• Take part in special projects and initiatives related to F&B operations, identifying trends, opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance overall F&B performance

General requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English and Chinese
• Knowledge of service etiquette and five-star service standards
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for food, beverage, and luxury hospitality
