Perfectly situated at 19 Avenue Kléber, The Peninsula sits in the heart of Paris within walking distance of some of the world’s most famous monuments, museums and luxury shopping districts. The Peninsula houses 200 luxurious rooms, including 93 suites.  Working alongside a high profile and prestigious team, The Peninsula Paris is seeking a Pastry Sous-Chef for a CDD contract.

Key accountabilities :

 

  • Ensure the highest possible quality of products and the preparation of desserts served à la carte, in terms of taste, temperature, and speed of execution for an optimal customer experience.
  • With the Pastry chef and sous chef,  supervise food tastings and presentations.
  • Train the pastry team to prepare desserts for each menu change.
  • Continuously demonstrate creativity and innovation, both technically and procedurally.
  • Assist and support all actions implemented by the hierarchy and assume a leadership role within the team to successfully carry out new defined projects.
  • Assist the pastry chef in recruiting and training the team.

  • Previous experience in a similar environment.
