General Accounting Associate

Business Unit:  The Peninsula Manila
Location:  Manila (Makati City)

Overview of the role

 

We are looking for a passionate individual who will provide reports on all variable expenses including but not limited to food, beverage, operating supplies, and operating equipment together with informative operational data to ensure that timely corrective measures are taken.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Finance Leadership in implementing Finance related systems, establishing efficient processes and creating an effective Finance team
  • Assist the Finance Leadership in ensuring compliance with HSH Finance related policies and procedures.
  • Process all controls, input, and filing needed, related indistinctively to General Accounting tasks as per business needs
  • Ascertain that the processes in place are as smooth and as effortless as possible for the Operations, using systems to their full extent to automate tasks
  • Support for the month-end process, including monthly financial statements preparation, and balance sheet reconciliation

 

General Requirements:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or BS Accountancy or similar
  • Should have at least 2-3 years experience in the same capacity
  • Above average knowledge of a hotel’s revenue process and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in Opera, Infrasys and Sun systems and Microsoft applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent Supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible, hardworking, with good analytical ability, organized, motivated and a team player
