Head Bartender - Brooklands Bar

The Peninsula London is excited to announce that we are seeking a Head Bartender to work within our Brookalands Bar and reporting to the Bar Manager. This is a senior position responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Bar, whilst ensuring exceptional levels of Food and Beverage service and team engagement. This position must have the creativity and knowledge to curate a market leading beverage offering.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for creating and delivering a unique beverage offering. Ensuring the team is trained and consistently delivering on high levels of service.
• Always ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service in accordance with the Peninsula Service Principles with a genuine approach.
• Understand all beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service. Ensuring that the suppliers are reputable and delivering consistently on quality.
• Proactively participate in hotel activities and training, ensuring the roster management allows for the team to participate also.
• Establish and maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with productive working relationships.

General requirements

• Exceptional beverage knowledge, with ability to formulate cocktail menus using quality ingredients with at least 2 years in a similar position.
• WSET level 2 preferred.    
• Experience within a luxury bar supervising and leading a team.
• Financial acumen and software systems experience.     
• Friendly and positive with a flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
