Director of Food & Beverage
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Food and Beverage to join our team at The Peninsula London. In this pivotal role, you will be accountable for the efficient operation of the Food and Beverage Division, ensuring that each outlet consistently offers the highest standards of quality and service. Your innovative approach and strategic vision will be crucial in positioning the hotel as an industry leader, while creating unique identities for each F&B venue. You will be responsible for achieving and maximizing business objectives related to financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement. Additionally, you will represent hotel management in all matters pertaining to F&B operations and guest service, making key decisions in the absence of the Hotel Manager or Managing Director.

Key accountabilities
- Ensure that all F&B operations operate with the objective of maximising profit while delivering product and service excellence; utilizing data metrics and KPI analysis to ensure monthly and annual revenue targets are met or exceeded in the division.
- Conduct and analyse current trends in the market and make recommendations on what can be applied to current F&B operation in the hotel to consistently evolve the food and beverage offering through creativity and innovation.
- Increase revenue and sales objectives by designing and implementing marketing and sales programs in consultation with Sales and PR personnel, such as promotions, special menu items, etc., designing sales incentives for staff in order to increase revenue, and developing creative ideas for the implementation of new items together.
- Ensure the highest level of Health and Safety and Hygiene are maintained, reporting employee and guest accidents, and responding properly to any hotel emergency.
- Ensure productivity levels are achieved and prudently manage labour/payroll costs within budgetary requirements.
- Hires, develops, motivates, supervises, and coaches F&B department employees.
General requirements
- Minimum 4 years in a similar role within luxury hotels.
- Is a natural organiser, highly detailed and able to engage with guests.
- Strong people leader having prior experience managing diverse teams.
- Fluent English language skills and presentation ability.
- Creative, innovative with extensive food and beverage knowledge.
- Good working knowledge of financial tools and processes (e.g. budgeting).
