Accountant - Accounts Payable

This role will be instrumental in successfully creating an effective and paperless Account Payable function through next-generation systems, setting The Peninsula London and its Finance Team as the future of hospitality.

Key accountabilities
- Responsible to all aspects of The Peninsula London accounts payable, including the reconciliation of invoices vs purchase orders and received items and the monthly preparation of accruals.
- Assist the Finance Leadership in ensuring compliance with HSH Finance related policies and procedures.
- Cross-train with the other Accountants to ensure smooth coverage of all related accounting functions during holidays.
- Support for the month- end process, including monthly financial statements preparation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Participate to any task necessary to achieve the property's goals and the highest levels of compliance and efficiency.
General requirements
- 1-2 year accounting experience in hospitality-residential environment
- Understanding of the various Accounting Functions. Extensive experience in Accounts Payable with the ability to manage a complex tax and contractual environment.
- High level of integrity, detail oriented with strong organizational and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
