Key accountabilities

 

  •  Assists Director of Finance in managing an efficient and effective day-to-day work routine and to ensure a proper month-end closing with timely preparation of accurate financial statement and reports.

  • Ensures revenues are audited and posted daily to the correct account codes.

  • Prepares the corporate tax returns and ensures payment is process in a timely manner to take advantage of any discounts offered, cash flow permitting based on discussion with Director of Finance.

  • Prepares all month-end entries. Review the results with Director of Finance investigating variances to budget.

  • Assists in the preparation of special statistical reports which may be required by local management, government authorities and area office.

  • Ensures that an organized, up-to-date filing system is maintained for all pertinent financial records.

  • Liaises with internal and external auditors to provide them with required documentations and backups.

  • Assists the Heads of Departments in decision-making by providing relevant financial data.

  • Supports the Director of Finance in the preparation and coordination of budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure accurate and timely submissions.

  • Supervises and provides guidance to all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Credit, Income Audit, and Tax, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial standards.

 

General requirements

 

  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar position within luxury hotels.

  • Thorough knowledge in accounting control and financial management process.

  • Knowledge of accounting procedures.

  • Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve problems effectively.

  • High degree of professional integrity and be able to work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.

  • Fluent in English language proficiency.
