Assistant Director of Finance

Key Accountabilities:

• Prepare financial and management reporting, collaborate with, and support the operational departments by providing financial analyses and recommendations
• Assist in the budget and forecasting process, and related analysis                    
• Review the accounting team’s work and make sure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls 
• Ensure the monthly balance sheet reconciliation is in good order
• Improve operational efficiency within the Finance department to maximise productivity

General Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant
• Over three years’ post-qualification experience in an accounting or business firm with thorough knowledge of accounting principles, control procedures and financial control systems
• Good English communication and business writing skills
• Knowledge of common Windows software, especially Excel and Word, experience with hospitality and accounting systems such as SUN, SAP, Opera, Shiji, Micros, BirchStreet, etc. will be an asset
• Thorough knowledge of Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, accounting principles, operational procedures, and internal control
