Seasonal Skyrink Support

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Seasonal Sky Rink Associate to join our Rooms Division team and be an integral part of our guest-focused service.

• Work for a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property in the heart of Michigan Avenue, Chicago.

Key Accountabilities:

• Preparing the food and drinks that will be offered at the Sky Rink.
• Taking inventory of ice skates as well as sanitizing and sharpening skates. 
• Ensure the Sky Rink, Chalet and surroundings, are always clean and all holiday decorations and music are in proper working order.
• Accept and process payment of food, drink and skate rental daily.
• Coordinate with responsible departments to arrange the daily needs for the operation of the sky rink.
• Assist guests in providing the correct size of the ice skating shoes.
• Ensure cashier drawer is balanced on a daily basis, approved by management, and all corresponding paperwork is submitted following the hotel’s cash and credit handling policies. 
• Clean and shut down Sky Rink Operations properly and in a timely manner.

General Requirements:

• Resolve guest issues effectively and efficiently.  
• Frequently utilize tools such as Microsoft Office, Teams and One note to effectively communicate
• Restock supplies 
• Respond to text messages, emails, and MS Teams messages in a timely manner 
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
